A gift certificate may sound boring, but you can be sure it will be appreciated and put to use—especially if you choose one that caters to a person’s unique interest, whether it be video games, movies, or shopping.

Edible Treats

Everyone loves to snack, so curating a basket of unique snacks—be it chocolate, nuts, or a collection of unusual drinks—is a sure winner.

While you don’t want to encourage slacking, it is helpful to have something to give the mind a rest every now and then. A small, challenging toy like a Rubik’s cube or a book of puzzles might be just the gift to help your coworker have a little fun throughout the day.

Of course, if your Secret Santa is into all things automotive, then consider an accessory or item from Corwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep® Ram.

Ram Mid-Size Pickup in the Works

2018 Ram 1500 | Corwin CDJR FIAT

At the moment, buyers in the United States can only have their Ram trucks in one size. But this year, some auto news sources were announcing that Ram may have a mid-size pickup in the works for the U.S. Market. The new Ram mid-size pickup will offer a new, sophisticated option in the mid-size segment against competitors like the Chevrolet Colorado and the Nissan Frontier.

News of the new mid-size option is minimal at the moment, but sources are saying that the mid-size truck will be assembled in Toledo, Ohio, in the same plant being used for the upcoming Jeep® Wrangler-based pickup models. The Ram mid-size truck will be a body-on-frame truck.

The upcoming Ram mid-size pickup is expected to be offered in the 2020 year as a 2021 model, but the timing of its release is still uncertain. As that time draws closer, more details about the mid-size option will no doubt be released.

Still, even without news of features, engines, or power, it’s exciting to anticipate a mid-size option in the Ram pickup segment. As the selection of mid-size trucks increases, it’s only right that the strong performance and premium styling of the traditional Ram truck join in.

You can be certain that Corwin CDJR will update you with information about this mysterious new Ram model.

Jeep and Ram Vehicles Prove Themselves to Be Top Outdoor Adventure Vehicles at Annual

2018 Jeep Wrangler | Corwin CDJR FIAT | Springfield, MO

Every year, the Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA) hosts the “Mudfest” competition, which puts the most adventurous vehicles head-to-head for a day of friendly competition and fun. This year, Jeep® and Ram vehicles soared ahead of the competition and were honored with three top awards out of the six vehicle categories, surpassing other vehicles in their segments because of their exceptional off-roading capabilities.

To be named a “Mudfest” winner, a vehicle must go through two days of rigorous testing on paved and off-road paths. At the end the various trials, the 2018 Jeep® Wrangler was awarded the top spot in both the Compact and Mid-size Utility Vehicle category and the Extreme Capability category, while the 2019 Ram 1500 Rebel was declared the winner of the pickups category. The all-new 2018 Jeep® Wrangler took home an additional award, earning the title of “Northwest Outdoor Activity Vehicle of the Year.” The all-new Wrangler was praised by the President of NWAPA, who said “Jeep® has taken the Wrangler to the next level, adding safety, technology and on-road refinement to its unparalleled off-road prowess. NWAPA members were impressed by the Wrangler’s performance both on and off the road.”

Meanwhile, the Ram 1500 was celebrated for its “comfort and refinement,” boasting an interior that “rivals luxury cars” while still being able to perform any task set for it. This is not the first time that the exceptional interior of the 2019 Ram 1500 has been recognized, as it was named to WardsAuto’s 10 Best Interiors List for 2018.

Classic FCA Automobiles Making the Move

2014 Dodge Viper | Corwin CDJR | Springfield, MO

Something old, new, borrowed, and blue? The move that some historic FCA automobiles are making feels a little like this old phrase. About 85 classic FCA vehicles will move to an exhibit at the old Dodge Viper plant.

This move comes with the closing of the Dodge Viper plant last August. While it was hard to say “goodbye” to the Viper, its production center is becoming a new nostalgic home. Some of the cars making the move to this new exhibit include the 1955 Chrysler 300, 1941 Chrysler Town and Country, 1970 Dodge Charger, and a 1934 Chrysler Airflow. There are also incredibly unique concept cars, like a 2015 Jeep® Chief sporting a beachy white and blue exterior.

With its transformation into a classic-car showroom, the old Viper plant will get a new name: the Conner Center. Unfortunately, the exhibit is not yet open to the public. But Historical Services manager for FCA US, Brandt Rosenbusch, pointed out the bonding benefits to FCA employees, “We are proud of our history and have been working diligently in the daily care and restoration of these important vehicles. This move will allow us to house all of our collection under one roof and have the space to share that history with our employees.”

To see all the vehicles that FCA currently offers, take a trip down to Corwin CDJR.

Drury International Food Festival is Right Around the Corner

Tacos | Corwin CDJR | Springfield, MO

Every year at Drury University, the International Student Association hosts the Drury International Food Festival. It marks a time to explore familiar and unfamiliar food, culture, music, and performances. There is certain to be something new and surprising for everyone to enjoy; maybe you’ll discover a dish that becomes a new favorite or experience a performance that expands your perspective.

The event represents the diversity of cultures present on Drury University’s campus and invites students to share their cultures and traditions with other students and community members. As of 2017, approximately 13% of Drury’s student population comes from abroad, with 53 countries represented. The International Student Association recognizes the important diversity of backgrounds and contributions that such students bring to the university’s campus, so the event is not only meant to bring students and community members from different backgrounds together, but allow them to share their backgrounds, cultures, and food with one another and learn from one another. What better way to do so than to center the event around food, inviting others to eat your favorite cultural dishes at your table?

The Drury International Food Festival will take place this year on April 14th, and will be hosted on the University’s campus in the Findlay Student Center from 6-9pm. There is a small admission price for the event, but one we at Corwin CDJR think is well worth it: the event will be $10 for students and $15 for the general public.

Pile your family into your Ram to make traveling to the event all the more enjoyable; we’re sure it will be able to haul your satisfied, full bellies home.
