Dodge Releases Charger Lineup Pricing for 2015 Model Year

Finding a high-performance car for a low price is similar to finding the Holy Grail—seemingly impossible. Now, though, Dodge has shown that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to, after announcing the 2015 Charger lineup pricing. Starting at just $27,995 for the base SE, the Charger lineup offers the dynamic performance you would expect from a muscle car for a significantly lower price.

“The Dodge Charger is a performance car that carves its own niche and cuts straight through the segments and perceptions of what a full-size sedan can or should be,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of Dodge and SRT. “With the new 2015 Charger, we’re pushing the boundaries of what a full-size sedan can or should be even further. We’ve seriously modernized the look and feel and added a standard eight-speed transmission across the lineup. The Charger is now tighter, leaner, and more athletic, without sacrificing proportions, performance, driving dynamics, attitude, and price that attracted customers in the first place.”

Pricing for all trims including the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T has been announced.

For that attractively low price, America’s only four-door muscle car offers a V6 engine that churns out 292 horsepower, mated with an eight-speed transmission that allows the car to still yield an EPA-estimated 31 mpg highway. This price also includes a 5.0-inch Uconnect touchscreen and new 7-inch full-color driver information display—and the additional features just get better as the price increases.

Car Cooling Tips to Help Beat the Heat this Summer

Summer is quickly approaching and we want to make sure that you know how to keep your car interior cool, and in turn help to prevent you from being comfortable. Follow some of our easy car cooling tips in order to keep your interior cool this season.

Car Cooling Tips
The sun is going to be glaring down on your car, make sure you try to keep the interior cool.

Car Cooling Tips

Park in the shade. Direct sunlight to your car can heat up the inside very quickly. In fact, with an hour it can rise up to 50 degrees hotter than what it was originally. Shade helps to protect from those extreme heats. Tinted windows also do the same thing in terms of blocking out some of the sun’s heat.

Cover your windows. We have seen the people in parking lots who put up blockers in the windshield and never really thought twice about it. Well, it is time to join their side. Blocking the sunlight from getting in can help to keep the temperature lower.

Vent out the interior. Leaving windows cracked can help to allow airflow in the car, leading to a cooler interior. Or you can follow one of the car cooling tips that we think is terrific; get a battery powered mini-fan and have it point outside the crack in your window. That will help to circulate the hot air out.

Buy a car with cloth seated interior. Leather sits tend to absorb heat more than cloth seats. When looking at purchasing a new car, take that fact into consideration if you live in a hotter area, or if you hate hot seats that badly!

Park in your garage. Yes, we know that right now it is cluttered with old boxes, tools, and maybe even some stuff that you aren’t sure what it is. Take the time to clean it out, and then you can park your vehicle in there any help keep it cool!

Good news is that Corwin Dodge carries a wide variety of new vehicles that come with cloth seats, or tinted windows, or whatever else you may be looking for! Stop in today to see what all we have to offer including the Dodge Dart, Charger, and Challenger, all offered at excellent prices!

Dodge Bringing New Models of Charger and Challenger to NY

The Dodge brand has long given us some of our favorite muscle cars, with aggressive curves, edgy design, and thunderously loud performance—and performance numbers. Now, they’re bringing new models of both the Charger and Challenger to NY for its International Auto Show. Both of these cars will be 2015 models, and they’ll help ring in the 100th anniversary of the Dodge brand coming up this summer.

The Dodge Challenger will be all new this year, a 2015 model that is “inspired by the classic Dodge Challenger” and “features a new powertrain combination that is sure to get enthusiasts ‘abuzz,’” a Dodge press release hints cryptically. The Charger may not be fully redesigned, but it will get a revamped exterior for the new model. Adding to its already existing muscle car design will just be the cherry on our sundae.

Here at Corwin Dodge, we’re just as anxious as all of you to see the unveiled final versions of these awesome Dodge cars, and luckily for all of us, we won’t have to be in New York to see Dodge bring the Charger and Challenger to NY. Dodge Chargers Recalled for Headlights – Chrysler Recall

Chrysler has recently announced that there will be 49,000 Dodge Chargers recalled for headlights that need fixed. These headlights need replaced because of a faulty connector that could overheat and knock out low-beam headlights.

Dodge Chargers recalled for headlights include the 2011 and 2012 models that are equipped with halogen headlamps. Luckily, this kind of recall is an easy fix. Just take it to your local dealer and they will replace the headlight wiring, bulbs, and assemblies.

Of the 49,000 Chargers being recalled here is a breakdown of where they are:

–          43,450 in the United States

–          2,850 in Canada

–          375 in Mexico

–          2,700 in countries outside of North America

CBS Detroit had this to say in there article about the recall, “Canadian safety regulators say the problem could compromise driver visibility and lead to a crash. But Chrysler says it knows of no crashes or injuries. The problem is similar to one that led to a 2012 recall of Charger police cars.”

So, if you have a 2011 or 2012 Dodge Charger, then make sure you bring it in to see what needs to or does not need to be fixed. You wouldn’t want that headlight to go out when you are driving somewhere!
