Make Sure You Connect with Chrysler Uconnect

Lately, the car industry has been focusing on a competition of seeing which carmaker can provide consumers with the best technology. Chrysler has officially joined this competition with its first foray into infotainment systems—the Chrysler Uconnect. With this new system, drivers and passengers alike will find it easy to stay connected while they are on the road.

While many carmakers offer a version of Uconnect, there is one aspect to Chrysler’s new system that allows you to choose the system that suits your individual needs. The system offers a variety of features, including turn-by-turn directions through Uconnect Navigation, hands free phone calls, and Internet radio streaming. Other features include the ability to control it all with your voice, making it easy to keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.

Chrysler Uconnect also offers SiriusXM Radio and Sirius XM Travel Link and Traffic, which make commuting easier than ever—it can even help you look up local movie theater listings!

All these features and more will be available with the 2015 Chrysler Group vehicle lineup, so make sure you make it out to Corwin Dodge this fall to see what our Uconnect system has to offer!

Chrysler Builds Experience at World Class Manufacturing Academy

Though the Chrysler Group’s World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Academy opened nearly two years ago, the Academy’s significant expansion is finally complete. The WCM Academy now consists of 40,000 square feet of classrooms and hands-on learning stations for Chrysler’s employees.

Since its launch, more than 9,000 employees have gone through collaborative classes at the Academy, expanding the choice of classes from the original four offerings to 45.

“The WCM Academy has become a critical resource in furthering our employees’ understanding of the WCM methodology,” said Marcel Breault, Head of World Class Manufacturing, Chrysler Group LLC. “The more people we can train and the more classes we can offer, the faster we are able to accelerate the pace of change across our North American facilities and continue to deliver measurable results in all of our operations.”

Course material for the classes are created based on the specific needs of plants, allowing the Academy to increase the competence of Chrysler employees in a specific area. 70% of participants’ time is spent participating in hands-on activities in the laboratory and home plant workshops, allowing modules and courses to be adapted and modified as needed.

With this hands-on, flexible training, the World Class Manufacturing Academy has helped Chrysler Group take a step in the right direction. Follow those steps to Corwin Dodge and see just how well this training works for yourself!

Dodge Avenger Discontinued after 2014 Model Year

With automakers constantly updating their lineups and rebuilding vehicles, there is a time when a vehicle is no longer made, and that time has come for a great Dodge vehicle. It is announced that after 2014 we can see the Dodge Avenger discontinued.

Chrysler, as a whole, has decided that they want to start straying away from having “sister” vehicles within different, but connecting, brands. (i.e. Dodge and Chrysler) Now, after having the Dodge Avenger discontinued, the Chrysler 200 will be able to take over as the only midsize sedan.

Now that the Dodge Avenger will be out of the picture, we can expect to see a rise in other vehicles from the Dodge family, such as the Dodge Dart and Dodge Durango.

Since you are going to be running out of time to get the Dodge Avenger, make sure you stop by Corwin Dodge in Springfield, MO and take one for a test drive. You may just want to go home with the future Dodge Avenger discontinued vehicle.
