The year 2020 will bring an all-new version of the Ram HD truck. This truck is meant for serious work and U.S. News & World Report said it will be one of the best new pickups of the year.
“Ram has a history of powerful trucks that are known for towing, hauling, and performance. The Ram 2500 and 3500 HD take that reputation to an even higher level,” writes U.S. News & World Report Brian McHugh. “The new Ram features a high-strength steel frame that helps lower weight, offers greater capacities and gives high level of torsional rigidity.”
The redesigned Ram HD will have an impressive lineup of three powertrain options. The standard engine will be a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 rated at 410 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. It will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Next up is a pair of diesel option. First is a turbodiesel paired with a six-speed automatic transmission for an output of 370 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque. The second diesel option is a 6.7-liter turbodiesel inline-six paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This delivers 400 horsepower and a truly impressive 1,000 lb-ft of torque.
