Dodge Celebrates 100 Years

Dodge Brand Turning 100

July 1 officially marked the 100th anniversary for Dodge. Dodge celebrates 100 years by inviting a handful of journalists to spend the day at Meadow Brook Hall in Michigan. KBB.com shared some of the highlights from the event.

Brothers John and Horace Dodge started their automotive company in 1914 and the first Dodge-branded vehicle rolled off the assembly line in November 1914. From then on, Dodge has been a mainstay in the automotive industry producing some of America’s most iconic models, including the minivan.

On display at the press event were some pretty spectacular milestone vehicles, including the 1915 Dodge Brothers Touring Car, the first vehicle to come out of the Dodge Main assembly plant. There was also a 1929 Dodge Senior Six Roadster, a 1941 Dodge Command Car used in World War II, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, a 1984 Dodge Caravan, and a 2003 Dodge Viper SRT-10.
