The recession hadn’t been too kind to the Dodge brand. Since Fiat took control of Chrysler Group, the automaker became best known for its Ram trucks, the Avenger family sedan, and the Grand Caravan minivan.
After that, the Ram split off to become its own brand, and although selling minivans is all well enough—it’s just not… Dodge. We’ve been waiting for a little more media attention on the quality and reliability of the Dodge brand for quite some time.
But now it’s back. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a hot rodder’s dream—707 horsepower, a top speed of 204 mph, and a quarter-mile sprint of 11 seconds make the fastest production sedans on Earth; and it’s just a taste of what Dodge is up to these days.
Even though Dodge has stopped making the Avenger -and will discontinue the Grand Caravan in 2016- between the Charger, the Challenger, Durango, and other great models, Dodge expects to sell 600,000 vehicles annually by 2018. Those sound like great numbers to us, and we’re happy to see Dodge coming back into the spotlight.
It’s a good time to be a fan. Join the Dodge resurrection at Corwin Dodge!
