USPS Has Gone Ram

Ram ProMaster - Springfield, MO
The USPS is all in on with the Ram ProMaster.

Every business loves a big order, so Ram must be feeling pretty darn good right about now, because the USPS has gone Ram.

In late September, the United States Postal Service placed an order for not one, not one thousand, but for 9,113 units of the 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500 commercial cargo van.

Each and every unit of the 9,113 Ram ProMasters will be customized for the postal service. They will also feature a 3.6-liter Pentastar, 28-horsepower V6 engine. Who knew you needed so much power for delivering the mail? The vans will also be capable of 260 lb-ft of torque through a six-speed automatic transmission. With the USPS tradition of wind, rain, and snow, all this pick-up will no doubt come in handy.

The USPS has 190,000 vans working across the nation, so comparatively, an order of 9,113 units isn’t all that massive. But, this seems like stage 1 in a long, Ram reprocessing for the USPS. We’re confident when we say that the USPS has gone Ram – it’s only a matter of time until you’re seeing postal ProMasters working on your street!
