Hennessey’s Dodge Charger Hellcat

Whether you’re a fan of the Dodge Charger or not, you have to give the nod to Hennessey. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat was already one of the most powerful cars on the road. Featuring a supercharged HEMI V8 engine that pumps out 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, it’s a force to be reckoned with. Now, though, Hennessey has gone the extra mile and brought even more power to the road.

Hennessey’s Dodge Charger Hellcat reaches an unbelievable 1,032 horsepower and 987 lb-ft of torque. The HPE1000 kit, available for the Challenger Hellcat as well, makes use of a triple-charged system. Kelley Blue Book has released its reputed list of the 2015 Best Resale Value award-winners. Among the select few is our very own 2015 Dodge Charger. The Charger celebrates its first year on the list as winner of the Full-Size Car segment.

KBB®, a highly regarded resource for automotive data and information, determines a vehicle’s resale value using an in-depth system which collects data based on vehicle sales, market conditions, competition in the segment, and predictions for the future of the economy, along with the experience and expertise of KBB’s own market and pricing analysts.

The Dodge Charger has a three-year resale value of 51% and a five-year value of 38.5%.

Kelley Blue Book experts said of the vehicle:  “Dodge’s full-size sedan offering is more versatile than ever after being redesigned for the 2015 model year. Charger SRT Hellcat Leads Dodge Resurrection

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a one-of-a-kind vehicle.
The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a one-of-a-kind vehicle.

The recession hadn’t been too kind to the Dodge brand. Since Fiat took control of Chrysler Group, the automaker became best known for its Ram trucks, the Avenger family sedan, and the Grand Caravan minivan.

After that, the Ram split off to become its own brand, and although selling minivans is all well enough—it’s just not… Dodge. We’ve been waiting for a little more media attention on the quality and reliability of the Dodge brand for quite some time.

But now it’s back. The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a hot rodder’s dream—707 horsepower, a top speed of 204 mph, and a quarter-mile sprint of 11 seconds make the fastest production sedans on Earth; and it’s just a taste of what Dodge is up to these days.

Even though Dodge has stopped making the Avenger -and will discontinue the Grand Caravan in 2016- between the Charger, the Challenger, Durango, and other great models, Dodge expects to sell 600,000 vehicles annually by 2018. Those sound like great numbers to us, and we’re happy to see Dodge coming back into the spotlight.

It’s a good time to be a fan. Join the Dodge resurrection at Corwin Dodge!

Dodge Releases Charger Lineup Pricing for 2015 Model Year

Finding a high-performance car for a low price is similar to finding the Holy Grail—seemingly impossible. Now, though, Dodge has shown that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to, after announcing the 2015 Charger lineup pricing. Starting at just $27,995 for the base SE, the Charger lineup offers the dynamic performance you would expect from a muscle car for a significantly lower price.

“The Dodge Charger is a performance car that carves its own niche and cuts straight through the segments and perceptions of what a full-size sedan can or should be,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO of Dodge and SRT. “With the new 2015 Charger, we’re pushing the boundaries of what a full-size sedan can or should be even further. We’ve seriously modernized the look and feel and added a standard eight-speed transmission across the lineup. The Charger is now tighter, leaner, and more athletic, without sacrificing proportions, performance, driving dynamics, attitude, and price that attracted customers in the first place.”

Pricing for all trims including the 2015 Dodge Charger R/T has been announced.

For that attractively low price, America’s only four-door muscle car offers a V6 engine that churns out 292 horsepower, mated with an eight-speed transmission that allows the car to still yield an EPA-estimated 31 mpg highway. This price also includes a 5.0-inch Uconnect touchscreen and new 7-inch full-color driver information display—and the additional features just get better as the price increases.

2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit Busts Out the Big Guns

Dodge has just unveiled the new 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit, which is basically a tuned version of the regular Charger made for law enforcement.

It’s powered by either a 3.6-liter that produce 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, or a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 that produces 370 hp and 390 lb-ft. According to Dodge, the massive HEMI engine is powerful enough to boost the Charger Pursuit along from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than six seconds even loaded down with equipment.

Even law enforcement wants to save fuel, which it can do thanks to the V8’s four-cylinder mode that helps it achieve an expected 26 miles to the gallon.

Inside, the driver-focused interior has been upgraded with high-tech equipment, including a 7-inch full-color multi-view instrument gauge cluster, a next-gen Uconnect 5.0 system with 5-inch touchscreen, and standard Bluetooth.

The best part? Most of it is just like the stock Charger. Sure, the Pursuit has fancy paintwork and some extra toys, but it’s a 2015 Dodge Charger at heart, the kind you can find at any dealership—like Corwin Dodge!

Dodge Brand Celebrates 100 Years in Style

Dodge Brand Turning 100

This summer, the Dodge brand will officially be 100 years old, but isn’t showing any signs of age. The brand kicked off the celebrations at the New York Auto Show with a dynamic video showcasing some great centenarians sharing some words of wisdom and showing a bit of a wild side.

A lot of the century celebration is focused on the refreshed 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger—two key cars in the Dodge lineup.

Tim Kuniskis, president and CEO of the Dodge brand, talked about why the refresh of these two models is so important, “It is extremely important to what Dodge is. Combined Charger/Challenger sales are 150,000 units per year out of 600,000. People identify with the brand as a result of these two cars.”

To help promote these two cars and continue the Dodge birthday party, Dodge will be headed out this year on the Dodge Power Rallye Tour. This tour will head across the country to more than 50 events this summer, including state fairs, music festivals, art shows, and more. The tour will feature test drives for the public and showcase the 100th anniversary models of the Challenger and Charger and 30th anniversary model of the Caravan.

If you’re looking forward to the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger that come out later this year, consider the Double Up program, where you can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger and trade it in for the 2015 model next year at no additional charge.

Head over to Corwin Dodge today and take a look at our wide selection of 2014 Dodge Charger and Challenger models available now.
