New Dodge Ad Campaign Celebrates 100 Years with Dodge Brothers

While it has been 100 years since John and Horace Dodge created the Dodge Brothers Motor Car Company, their spirits still live on in a brand new Dodge ad campaign that is sure to take you back in time. Called “Ballroom—They Dreamed Big,” this new commercial spot for the 2015 Dodge Challenger is the first advertisement in a series that travels through time, back to the days when Dodge first began.

“Dodge has a very specific DNA, a bloodline that traces back to the Dodge brothers’ passion for making great cars,” said Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer for Chrysler Group. “The new campaign captures the spirit of innovation and enthusiasm the Dodge brothers had when they founded the brand 100 years ago. Everything Dodge does today honors John and Horace Dodge’s legacy. Their spirit lives on through this campaign and the Dodge vehicles of today.”

The commercial focuses on an imaginary celebration of John and Horace’s success. During the rousing, flapper-filled party, a voiceover describes how the brothers came to create the car company, ending with a shot of the new 2015 Challenger revving its engine amongst two 1915 Dodge Touring cars.

New Double Up Program Gives You a Head Start on 2015 Muscle Cars

If you can’t wait for the new 2015 Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger launching later this year, boy have we got a deal for you with the New Double Up Program.

New Double Up Program from Dodge
Lease a 2014 Dodge Charger this year, and come back in 12 months to lease the 2015 model for the same payment price using the new Double Up Program from Dodge.

Behold the “Double-Up” program: from now until the end of August 2014, eligible customers can lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger for twelve months, with a promise that they can return to the dealership a year later and have the same lease payment on a new 2015 Charger or Challenger.

This is a completely new opportunity that allows muscle car enthusiasts to get a taste for what is to come in anticipation of the new 2015 models. The only catch is that customers must use the same Dodge dealership for both transactions, lease through Chrysler Capital, and follow the program rules for eligibility. Not a very tough sell!

Just imagine getting to lease a 2014 Charger or Challenger and a year later upgrading to the newest model without having to increase in price! It almost sounds too good to be true!

Dodge Durango and Ron Burgundy Team Up

For a little bit now, the Dodge Durango and Ron Burgundy have teamed up to help promote the newest model year, and it is proving to be very successful. Using witty comments and comparisons, Ron Burgundy is able to advertise the “best” features that the Durango offers, like its glove box.

In all seriousness, using Ron Burgundy as an advertising campaign’s spokesperson has increased Dodge Durango sales by just under 60% (59% to be exact). These commercials have also received more viral attention than most other car markets. On YouTube, the Dodge Durango and Ron Burgundy ads have reached up to seven million views.

Will Ferrell showed up in character as Ron Burgundy for a show on Conan O’Brien where he actually called the Dodge Durango a terrible car (joking of course) and went on to say how it only lasted four feet. He is definitely taking his role to the max, and not sure about you, but we can’t get enough.
