The Dodge Viper 1 of 1 Configurator Is Now Live!

We hope you have as much fun building your dream Viper as we have!

Perhaps you heard of the Dodge Viper 1 of 1 Configurator? It is an online program that allows you to build your custom, wholly-unique Dodge Viper SRT. Well, the program launched earlier this month and so far critics seem to be slightly addicted.

Let loose your creativity on one of our favorite sports car models as the online Configurator gives designers free reign in choosing the vehicle’s colors and designs.

We warn you: you may need an extra dose of self-discipline or a lot of time before you sit down to create your custom Viper. With an estimated 25 million potential Viper combinations, we at Corwin Dodge can imagine it would be quite easy to lose track of time designing your one-of-a-kind Viper.

Truth be told, we figured we should let our readers know about the website going live before we exploring it for ourselves. We anticipate getting lost in the creative process as it sounds like many others already have.

However, now that we’ve passed along the message, we have some creating of our own to do. We hope you have as much fun creating your Viper SRT as we will!

Air Force Dodge Vapor – Taking Things to New Heights

2014 Dodge Durango Interior
Dodge is no stranger to cutting edge designs. Just wait until you see the Vapor!

Introducing a Dodge Vapor imbued with Air Force technology that you will never see coming – literally.

In a partnership forged between the Air Force and Dodge, a matte finish radar-absorbing paint coats the Dodge Vapor, much like that of the F-117 Nighthawk stealth fighter, enabling the amalgamated car to travel undetected through the cover of darkness. Also added to the exterior are carbon fiber tire caps, a horizontal grille, and elements to improve aerodynamics.

The cockpit of the Air Force Dodge Vapor is accessed via the scissor doors and is equipped with an aircraft yoke and throttle lever replacing the steering wheel and gear selector.

Three LCD monitors take the place of the standard dashboard of the Dodge Vapor, which are mated to GPS navigation and internet capability. In addition, thermal imaging utilizes the 360-degree camera mounted to the top of the car. After all, one can not travel in stealth with headlights.

Originally commissioned by the Air Force and built by Galpin Auto Sports, the Air Force Dodge Vapor project is meant to educate “young people about the mechanical and technical career opportunities available within the (Air Force) organization.”

Be sure to come visit Corwin Dodge to see all of the newest technologies available to you in our newest Dodge lineups.

The 2015 Durango R/T Performance: High-Octane Power and Then Some

2015 Dodge Durango R/T Interior
A look inside the R/T!

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the new 2015 Dodge Durango R/T, then you’re missing out. Featuring high-performance engineering and revamped styling, the new Durango is causing quite a stir in the automotive industry.

The three-row Durango has been around in 1998, bridging the gap between compact crossovers and full-size SUVs. According to Top Speed, the 2015 Durango R/T performance is getting quite a boost thanks to the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that comes standard. This powerful engine generates 360 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque, all while maintaining 23 mpg. Pretty impressive, especially for a seven-seater crossover.

“The Dodge Durango R/T was already one of the meanest-looking SUVs on the market (especially under the $40,000 range), but things get even better for 2015 with a sporty new interior package inspired by the new Charger and Challenger,” said Top Speed editors. “From every angle, the Durango R/T stands out from the sea of SUVs and crossovers on the market, and it does so without sacrificing capability or comfort.”

The new Durango is also getting restyled inside and out, featuring LED lighting, R/T trim, and a taller ride-height. On top of that, a “Beats by Dr. Dre” audio system and Nappa Leather come optional as well. With all of these features, it’s easy to see why the R/T is one of the most popular mid-size SUVs on the road. It’s one of our favorites here at Corwin Dodge!

Dodge Durango R/T Gets Glorious Red Nappa Leather Seats

Who wouldn’t want to recline on these comfy seats?

You’ve asked, and Dodge delivered. Get your butts ready—literally—for the latest addition to the 2015 Dodge Durango R/T: oh-so-glorious red Nappa leather seats.

Ever since the seats were shown on the Durango concept vehicle at the 2013 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, fans have been clamoring to see them offered in the production model.

Now they’re here, and they look incredible. The red Nappa leather perfectly complements the R/T’s menacing and sporty attitude, giving it an even more performance-oriented look than ever before—especially when combined with some of the other features included in the R/T trim, such as 20-inch tires with high-gloss Granite Crystal finish and a 20 mm lower ride height.

Red Nappa leather is also available on the Charger and Challenger in our lineup at Corwin Dodge, in addition to black Nappa leather, which has already been an option for some time. See you there.

Dodge Hellcat Orders Suspended Amid Massive Demand

2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
Demand for the Hellcat is outstripping supply, but Dodge is racing to catch up!

The new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat coupe and 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat sedan’s awesomeness has caught up with them. The rear-wheel-drive cars both feature a supercharged V-8 that puts out a ridiculous 707 horsepower (that makes the Challenger Hellcat the fastest sedan, ever). It should really come as no surprise to anyone that demand has outpaced production, and FCA has had to suspend orders.

FCA says that it received “more than 4,000 orders in just the first few weeks” after the Challenger SRT Hellcat was available for purchase. Now, with more than 9,000 orders, the company is halting any additional Dodge Hellcat orders until it can fulfill current orders.

“Due to unprecedented demand for the 2015 Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcats, we are temporarily restricting orders while we validate current orders that are in the system,” FCA said in a statement.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat starts at about $60,000, and depending on features and options (and taxes), tops out around $70,000. Likewise, the 2015 Charger SRT Hellcat ranges from about $65,000 to $75,000. Considering the amount of power these cars put out, the amount of technology packed inside, and the muscle cars’ appealing and functional design, you can’t find a better value.

Though FCA hasn’t announced when they will begin taking new orders, here at Corwin Dodge, we have high hopes to be back to placing orders very soon. Stop by today to learn more.
